National Junior record holder Bouwahjgie Nkrumie……fresh from lifting the Issa/Grace Kennedy Boys Championship title with Kingston College on the weekend, says he is fired up and ready to secure a spot on Jamaica’s team to the World Athletics Championship in Budapest this August.
The 19 year old world under 20 silver medalist, sent shock waves across the globe last Wednesday when he became the first Jamaican schoolboy to run under 10 seconds…..clocking a staggering 9.99 seconds to win the class one boys 100 meters title.
According to Nkrujmie he is ready to take on the challenges of the senior ranks.
He added that Saturday’s crowning moment……was his best experience yet…..in lifting the crown.
Kingston College meanwhile wrapped up title number 34 after amassing 366 points.
Jamaica College was second on 299 with Calabar third on 207,
On the girls side…..Hydel won their first title after compiling 279 points……2 better than dethroned champions Edwin Allen who finished on 277 with former winners Holmwood third on 202.
