As Jamaica joins the global community in observing World Homeless Day, today, the authorities are assuring that measures are being taken to address the issue of homelessness.

This year’s observance coincides with the ongoing National Homeless Survey, which runs from October 6 to 10 across all parishes.

The collection exercise is in the final stages.

Senior Poor Relief Officer at Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, Lorraine Miller says the data gathered will guide stronger policies, better support systems, and lasting change.

World Homeless Day 2025 is being observed under the theme, ‘Bridging Gaps in Homelessness: Connecting Persons to Services and Community through Data Collection’.
