National Heritage Trust addressing defacement of Sam Sharpe statue in Montego Bay
The Jamaica National Heritage Trust is working to address what has been described as a minor defacement of the Sam Sharpe statue in Montego Bay, St. James.
Mayor of Montego Bay, Richard Vernon said he was informed of the issue with the monument this afternoon.
Noting that what appears to be diluted paint is on parts of the statue, the mayor said there is no need for panic.
