National Fisheries Authority urges fisherfolk who need assistance following passage of Hurricane Beryl to reach out to Authority

The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) is encouraging fisherfolk who need assistance following the passage of Hurricane Beryl to reach out to the Authority.

Alligator Pond and several fishing beaches in St. Elizabeth were reportedly badly affected by the hurricane.

NFA’s Executive Director, Dr. Gavin Bellamy said fisherfolk, who should have already begun evaluating the damage, should contact the NFA outstations to inform them of the type of support they need.

Persons in need of technical support can call the NFA at (876) 927-1731.
