The Nurses Association of Jamaica, NAJ is calling on the health ministry to help in advancing the association’s dialogue with the finance ministry about the outstanding compensation review items for nurses.

President Dawn-Marie Richards made the appeal at the National Nurses’ Week church service at the Spalding New Testament Church of God in Clarendon, on Sunday.

She said the NAJ continues to negotiate for better wages for nurses as remuneration remains a struggle.

Mrs. Richards noted however, that there are challenges communicating with the ministry.

She also called for other conditions for nurses to be improved.
