The woman who was taken into custody in relation to the death of 8 year old Danielle Rowe is to be charged with murder.

She is a 30 year old Dental Assistant of Padmore Avenue, in Red Hills St Andrew.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey made the announcement today (August 25).

DCP Bailey said the woman was positively pointed out during an identification parade.

He said she is an intimate partner of Danielle’s father, who is a police officer.

In June, Danielle was abducted from her school in Portmore St Catherine.

She was later found with her throat slashed in St Andrew.

The girl later died while undergoing emergency treatment at hospital.
