Mr G supports autism awareness
Multifaceted recording artiste, Mr G is calling for parents of autistic children to come together as a unit to spread knowledge and bring awareness about the disorder and says he will be using his platform to help formulate a group to assist in the process.
The veteran entertainer who is a father of a 19-year-old autistic son, in a Music News interview says unconditional love must be the main ingredient in caring for children with the disorder.
Additionally, Mr G says caring for an autistic child can be financially strenuous and parents need to petition the government to implement systems, which will benefit children suffering from autism and assist parents who need financial help and other support.
Autism, also referred to as autism spectrum disorder constitutes a diverse group of conditions related to development of the brain.
According to reports, some 700 children are born with autism spectrum disorder, in Jamaica, each year.
