MPs pay tribute to 4 former Parliamentarians
Tributes were paid to four former parliamentarians in the House of Representatives this afternoon.
They are Carl Miller-former Member of Parliament for St. James North Western, Emerson Bernard Barrett- former MP for St. Andrew East Rural, Vincent ‘Vin’ Edwards-former MP for St Mary Western, and Harry Douglas who served as MP of St. Mary South Eastern.
The men who served as members of the People’s National Party, died recently.
In his tribute, Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie shared memories of Mr. Miller, Edwards and Barrett.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Central St. Mary, Dr. Morais Guy said Mr. Douglas was the first PNP MP to serve in St. Mary South Eastern for 19 years.
