MP for Western Hanover Heatha Miller Bennett raises concern about what she said is the rigidity of SPARK Programme
Member of Parliament (MP) for Western Hanover, Heatha Miller Bennett has raised concern about what she said is the rigidity of the SPARK Programme.
According to her, the Shared Prosperity through Accelerated Improvement to our Road Network Programme, leaves little room for practical changes even when suggestions are made.
Works Minister Robert Nesta Morgan had indicated that each constituency, through consultations, selected roads to be rehabilitated under the programme.
However, speaking at a People’s National Party press conference this morning, Mrs. Miller Bennett raised concern that once the roads are selected, there is limited flexibility for adjustments.
She said some roads may have been selected by previous MPs, but the realities might have changed and in such cases current MPs should be able to make suggestions.
