MP for Trelawny Northern Tova Hamilton refutes claims of neglecting her constituents’ needs
Member of Parliament (MP) for Trelawny Northern Tova Hamilton has rubbished claims that she has not been working for the benefit of her constituents.
Ms. Hamilton took office as the first female MP for Trelawny Northern, having won the 2020 General Election on the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) ticket.
Speaking at a JLP Divisional Conference in Falmouth last evening, Ms. Hamilton said she is aware of the criticisms regarding her leadership.
She dismissed those comments, noting that the JLP has spent millions of dollars on the development of the constituency and its residents.
She said numerous investments were made in education and infrastructure, among other things.
Ms. Hamilton said other works are also in the pipeline.
Meantime, JLP General Secretary Dr. Horace Chang described Ms. Hamilton as a hardworking MP.
