Member of Parliament for Eastern St. Catherine Denise Daley says she will be asking the police to provide special protection for residents following a triple murder in Central Village last night.

Dead are 20 year old Matthew Smith also known as Cool Jay,  as well as brothers, Giovanni Ferguson otherwise called Gio and Jaheim Ferguson  otherwise called Jay Jay all from Central Village.

Police say the men were standing in the community when they were pounced upon by gunmen who opened fire hitting them.

They were pronounced dead at hospital.

Ms Daley, who visited Browns Lane today, noted that family members are traumatized and some had to seek medical attention.

Ms. Daley is hopeful that information will become available to solve this triple murder.
