Mount Pleasant to tackle Defense in Concacaf Caribbean Cup semi-final
Former Jamaica Premier League champions Mount Pleasant will tackle Defense Force out of Trinidad and Tobago in a two way upcoming semi-final clash in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup.
The confirmation came today from regional governing body Concacaf, which sees the Theodore Whitmore conditioned team playing the first leg match against Defense Force on October 22 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, in Port Spain.
The St. Ann based outfit will then host Defense Force at the National Stadium in the return leg semi-final on October 29 .
The other semi-final features an all Dominican Republic clash , where O and M FC faces Cibao FC.
Following the semifinals, the winner of each match-up will advance to the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup final, where the third Caribbean Champion will be crowned.
The champion will then qualify for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup round of 16, while the runners-up and third-place finisher will qualify for round one.
Meanwhile, last season’s title-holders Cavalier was last night eliminated from the tournament after suffering a 2-1 loss to Weymouth Wales at the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex in Barbados.
