Mount Pleasant standout Academy Devonte Campbell is reportedly heading to Mobay United.
Campbell the breakout player from the Mount Pleasant Academy made his way into the Mount Pleasant Senior team under coach Wally Downs in the 2020-2021 season.
Campbell, after breaking into the senior team in the Jamaica Premier League progress to the national youth team and into the senior Reggae Boys squad.
In early 2024, he became a pioneer of Mount Pleasant’s “Mountain to valley” partnership with English Club Charlton Athletic, and he spent two weeks training with the Charlton Athletic Academy in London.
Campbell along with Mount Pleasant team mates Suelae Mccalla and Romain Blake journeyed to Belgium earlier this year to join another Peter Gould acquired club and without playing a game for the club returned home.
Although still a Mount Pleasant player he is now training with Mobay United.
In the meantim there are reports that the crisis hit Mount Pleasant is trying to offload big signing Lamar Walker.
Walker was recently signed to the St Ann club for a salary of over 700 thousand dollars a month after a sign-on bonus in the region of 6 million Jamaican dollars.
