Caribbean Club Champions Mount Pleasant FA now know their potential opponents for their historic debut in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, following Tuesday night’s official draw in Miami.

The St. Ann-based Premier League outfit, who secured a bye to the Round of 16 after winning the Caribbean Cup, will face either former MLS champions LA Galaxy or Panama’s Sporting San Miguelito when they open their campaign next March. Galaxy and San Miguelito will meet in a two-legged Round One tie in February, with the winner advancing to face Mount Pleasant in the knockout phase.

Mount Pleasant are the lone Jamaican team in the competition and will be aiming to extend the region’s recent run of strong performances against North American opposition.

Meanwhile, Caribbean Cup runners-up O&M FC of the Dominican Republic have been drawn against FC Cincinnati in Round One, while Jamaica’s national goalkeeper Andre Blake and the Philadelphia Union will take on Trinidad and Tobago’s Defence Force.

Elsewhere, global superstar Lionel Messi and Inter Miami will enter the tournament in the Round of 16, where they will meet the winner of the Nashville SC versus Atlético Ottawa first-round series.

The Round of 16 kicks off in March, followed by the quarterfinals in April, the semifinals across April and May, and the championship match scheduled for Saturday, May 30.

Concacaf is expected to release the full fixture schedule for Round One and the Round of 16 in the coming days.
