Defending  champions  Mount  Pleasant  last  night  became  the  second  team to reach two Concacaf Caribbean Cup finals.

They  join  2024  champions  Cavaliers who  achieved  the  feat  in  2023 and 2024.

This  came  when  when  they  roared  past  Trinidadian  team  Club Sando FC  2-nil in  the  return  leg  semi-final  at  Sabina  Park  for  a  3-1  aggregate  triumph  and  qualified  for the  2027 Concacaf  Champions Cup.

Mount Pleasant  now  stretch  their  unbeaten  run  to   five consecutive Concacaf Caribbean Cup matches  with  2 wins and 3 draws equalling    its longest unbeaten run in the competition

Coach  Theodore  Tappa  Whitmore  while  reflecting  on  his  team’s  performance  expressed  confidence  in  Reid  despite  his  second  failed  penalty  conversion  effort.

Reid  became the second player to take a penalty and record an assist in the same Concacaf Caribbean Cup match in the last two editions of the competition, after Kevin Molino of  Defence Force  who did so against Bilbao FC in November 2025.

Mount  Pleasant’s opponents  in  the  final  in  December  will  be  decided  next  Wednesday  also  at  Sabina  Park  when  local  Premier  League  Champions  Portmore  United  take on  Violette  AC of  Haiti.

Portmore United  holds  a  3-1  lead  heading  into  the  return  leg  semi-final.
