Motorists urged to drive carefully following death of schoolgirl who was mowed down by motor vehicle
President of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS) Egeton Newman has called on motorists to drive carefully along the nation’s roadways.
He was speaking last evening during the TODSS weekly virtual meeting.
The call follows the death of 11-year-old Marla Richards of Kemps Hill and student of Vere Technical High School in Clarendon on Tuesday.
Reports are that Marla exited a motor vehicle and was attempting to cross the Kemps Hill Main Road when she was hit by a Hiace motor truck.
Newman also noted reports of another incident in which another female student of Vere Technical High sustained injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle.
