A motorcyclist died in a crash along the Galloway Main Road, Bethel Town, Westmoreland, yesterday.

The name of the deceased has not been released.

According to the police the crash occurred at around 1:30 am and involved a green cobra motorcycle.

Reports indicate that the man was driving the motorcycle along the road way when he lost control and crashed.

322 people have died in 282 fatal crashes since the start of the year.

This, in comparison to the 311 deaths recorded in the same period last year.
