A motorcyclist was killed in a crash along Marcus Garvey Drive, in Kingston, this morning (November 23).

Dead is 43-year-old Herbert Reid of Denham Town, Kingston 14.

Reports are that about 10:45 a.m., Reid was driving his motor cycle along the roadway, when the bike collided in the rear of a Toyota Wish motor car, which had stopped.

Reid sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Since the start of the year, some 126 motorcyclists have been killed in road crashes.

Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones has again expressed concern about the rising number.
