More than 2,000 roads to be fixed under new ‘SPARK’ programme
The government is moving to implement a $40 billion road improvement project to modernize over two thousand roads island wide, under the Shared Prosperity through Accelerated Improvement to our Road Network (SPARK) programme.
Works Minister Everald Warmington made the announcement during his sectoral debate presentation in parliament yesterday (May 31).
He described the SPARK programme as a major game changer in the push to improve the condition of roads across the country.
He explained that six criteria would determine which roads receive attention, under the programme.
Another consideration is social impact.
