More police officers have been deployed across the island to ensure the safety of citizens as they get ready to ring in the New Year.

Head of the Constabulary’s Communications Network, SSP Stephanie Lindsay, says today is expected to be a busy one as there are several large events scheduled.

She said the police will be out in their numbers to serve and protect.
