More persons to join labour market under projected wage increase should JLP win September 3 polls – Dr. Holness

Jamaica Labour Party Leader and Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has stated that more persons will join the labour market under the projected wage increase should he return to office after the September 3 elections
This comes in light of his pledge to raise the minimum wage from $16,000 to $32,000 over the next few years.
Dr. Holness, who made the announcement on Sunday, explained that the minimum wage will first increase from $16,000 to $18,500 in the first budget.
