Montego-Bay Metro drivers remain restive over salary issues
Drivers of the government owned bus company, Montego Bay Metro, remain restive due to ongoing salary issues.
The workers who have been restive since last week, are angry about a reported pay cut.
Assistant island supervisor for the National Workers Union Alexander Nicholson told Irie Fm news that the workers want their April salaries to be the same as their March salaries.
He said a meeting is to take place today (May 5) on the issue.
It’s alleged that the workers’ salaries were cut, as they were recently overpaid under the new compensation system.
