Mayor of Montego Bay Leeroy Williams is recovering in hospital after he sustained injuries during a motor vehicle accident at the weekend.

Mayor Williams crashed in Ironshore while on his way from an event in the parish on Saturday morning (July 22).

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Speaking to IRIE FM news this morning Chief Executive Officer for the St James Municipal Corporation Naudia Crosskill said Mayor Williams is doing better.

She said the Municipality is grateful that the incident was not worse.
