Mona Reservoir falls further, Hermitage Dam sees slight increase

Water levels at the Mona reservoir have fallen further while the Hermitage Dam has recorded a slight increase, as drought conditions continue to affect water supplies across the island.
The latest readings from the National Water Commission (NWC) show the Mona Reservoir at 43.1% capacity with 348.6 million gallons stored.
That is down from 44.4% on August 28.
The latest figure represents a 5.5-million-gallon decline in the reservoir’s storage level.
Meanwhile, the Hermitage Dam stood at 34.3% capacity as at yesterday with 135.1 million gallons of water stored.
That is up from 33.2% on August 28.
The dam’s latest water-level reading is 37 feet, 10 inches.
