Mixed reactions following release of CXC exam results
There are mixed reactions from some high school teachers and students, following the release of this year’s May/June, Caribbean Examinations Council, (CXC) results.
The results for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination, CAPE; Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, CSEC; and Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence, CCSLC, were made available to candidates, via the CXC‘s student portal, as at 5 pm, on Monday.
Past student of the Queen’s High school in Kingston, Kayla Fraser has obtained 8 CSEC subjects.
She has expressed happiness that her hard work has paid off.
Meantime, history and social studies teacher at the Steer Town Academy in St. Ann, Laddicia Young, says while many of her students did well, some could have gotten better results.
And principal of the institution, Omar Mongal says overall, the students have performed exceptionally well.
