Minister Grange out of ICU but remains hospitalized
Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sports Olivia “Babsy” Grange remains in hospital but has been released from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Government Senator Abka Fitz Henley, who has been authorised to speak on her behalf, gave the update, today.
Last week, Ms. Grange was admitted to the ICU at the University Hospital of the West Indies, as a precautionary measure.
The reason for her hospitalisation has not been disclosed but it has been confirmed that she had the flu.
In providing an update, Senator Fitz Henley said Ms. Grange is recuperating well.
He expressed hope that she will be discharged from hospital soon.
He was speaking with reporters, following a floral tribute to Jamaica’s first National Hero, Marcus Garvey, on the occasion of Garvey’s birthday, at National Heroes Park, where he represented Senate President Tom Tavares Finson.
