Met Service says unstable weather is expected across the island weekend
The Met Service says unstable weather is expected across Jamaica this weekend.
This as a trough across the Central Caribbean moved into the vicinity of the island last night and will linger through to the middle of next week.
In a statement yesterday, the Met Service said the trough is forecast to produce cloudy conditions with periods of showers and thunderstorms which may be heavy at times.
This will impact sections of most areas, especially eastern and south central parishes, from today through to next Tuesday.
Additionally, strong winds associated with a low level jet stream are forecast especially across southern parishes beginning tomorrow.
Fishers and other marine interests, especially those inshore and offshore the south coast are advised to exercise extreme caution during this period.
This as sea conditions are expected to deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms beginning today and due to strong gusty winds beginning tomorrow.
