Met Service says expect dry conditions mainly across southern sections of the island over next few days

Jamaicans should expect dry conditions mainly across southern sections of the island over the next few days.

That is according to Principal Director of the Meteorological Service, Evan Thompson.

Mr. Thompson made the revelation during a special press conference at Jamaica House this morning.

For the three to six-month outlook, Mr. Thompson explained that dry conditions are projected for mainly eastern parishes, with below-normal rainfall.

He said improved conditions are likely in some central and western parishes through to September, as rainfall probabilities are above normal.

Mr. Thompson noted, however, that some dryness is still expected.
