MET Service anticipating that Jamaica will receive more rainfall this week

The Met Service is anticipating that Jamaica will receive more rainfall this week.

This, as it says another area of disturbed weather seems to be developing over the western Caribbean.

The Met Service says the area is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation later this week.

It notes that while Jamaica would not be in the system’s path, it could result in more rainfall for the country as it enters the usually rainy month of October.

The anticipated increase in rainfall follows several days of showers and thunderstorms across the island last week.

The downpours left several roads inundated and also impacted some farmers who are still in the recovery process following the passage of Hurricane Beryl on July 3.
