Megan Tapper and Jordan Scott secure victories in Monaco Diamond League  

National champions Megan Tapper and  Jordan  Scott  produced  podium  topping  performances on Friday at  the Wanda  Diamond League meeting in Monaco. 

The Japan  Olympic bronze medallist Tapper  produced a personal best 12.34 seconds on her way to  victory  in  the womens 100 metre hurdles over Ditaji Kambundji of Switzerland.

Scott continued his good form with victory in the mens triple jump with a personal best effort of 17.52  metres.

Nickesia Pryce was the only  other Jamaican podium finisher on Friday, she took third place in the  Womens  400 posting a season best 49.63  seconds metres, the event won by Olympic champion  Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic  in 49.06 seconds

Andrenette Knight was fifth in the women’s 400 metres hurdles in 54.54 seconds the world class Dutch star Femke Bol won in a world leading and meet record 51.95 seconds. 

Raymond Richards and Romaine Beckford were 5th and 7th respectively in the men’s high jump, both Jamaicans cleared the bar at the same height of 2.23 metres. 

Meanwhile, Noah lyles turned the tables on olympic champion Letsile  Tebogo  of  Botswana  in  the  mens  200  metres, Lyles  won  in   a  season  best  19.88  seconds

 Olympic champion Julien  Alfred  landed  the womens 100  metres  in  10.79 seconds 

In  the  meantime  two-times Olympic and world pole vault champion Mondo Duplantis was the only athlete to clear six metres, setting a meeting record of 6.05 metres, but failed in his three attempts at 6.29 to break the world record for a 13th time.
