Scores of medical doctors are reportedly restive due to lengthy delays in negotiations regarding the new overtime policy.

In a statement this afternoon, the Jamaica Medical Doctors’ Association, JMDA says, it has taken note of Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke’s recent statement that he has been “actively engaging with the unions.”

It says the ministry, however, has not only left its numerous letters unanswered but has also neglected to have its first meeting with the union about the policy.

President of the Association, Dr Mindi Fitz-Henley has described the situation as unacceptable.
