Medical Disposables and Supplies Limited (MDS) Jamaica, will be establishing operations in the Cayman Islands.

The expansion seeks to leverage MDS’ core strengths in pharmaceutical and medical distribution, allowing the company to extend its reach into new markets while maintaining its healthcare focus.

MDS will hold a thirty per cent stake in its Cayman affiliate, which is expected to be fully operational by April this year. 

According to MDS’ Chief Executive Officer Kurt Boothe, the expansion represents a strategic and crucial step to drive sustainable growth and enhance the company’s margins. 

The company has also diversified its revenue streams through a partnership with CB Group for their True Pet Food brand.  

The agreement sees MDS becoming a distributor of the popular range of pet food products, including True Active Dogs (formerly Adult), True High Protein (formerly Puppies) and True Salmon Oil, which are specially formulated to meet the nutritional needs of Caribbean dogs.
