Maxi Priest, Richie Stephens, I-Octane, and more wish Freddie McGregor a speedy recovery
Maxi Priest, Richie Stephens, and I-Octane are some of the entertainers wishing legendary Reggae singer Freddie McGregor a speedy recovery after he suffered a stroke earlier this week.
On Instagram, Maxi Priest wrote, “Calling all prayer warriors. Let’s come together and send up our prayers for strength and healing for my bonafide bredren, singer, and legend Freddie McGregor who is currently in the hospital.” Maxi Priest ended his post with “Get well soon.”
Richie Stephens shared, “Get well soon Captain Freddie McGregor… You are a great person and a true friend. God Bless.”
I-Octane in his message urged the Reggae veteran to “pull through”. On Instagram he wrote, “Help me send up some real prayers for this great King. Pull through dads.”
Freddie McGregor was hospitalized in Florida after suffering a stroke on Sunday (11.27.22).
The former Grammy-nominated artiste and captain of his Big Ship label, is known for a slew of hits including Big Ship Sailing, Push Come To Shove, Gate Pass To Your Heart, and I Was Born A Winner among countless others.
Freddie McGregor, who wears many hats including songwriter, producer, musician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, was expected to join British Reggae Band UB40 on their 45th-anniversary tour this month making stops in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
