Head of Matthew Samuda’s communication campaign team, Senator Abka Fitz-Henley has expressed confidence that the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate will be able to build on the legacy of Shahine Robinson after today’s by-election in North Eastern St. Ann.

Mrs. Robinson who served as Member of Parliament for the Constituency for many years, died in 2020.

She was succeeded by Marsha Smith who resigned from the post earlier this month.

Senator Fitz-Henley says the JLP remains optimistic that the election will go in its favour.

The two other candidates vying for the post are independent candidate David Anderson and Chase Neil of the United Independents’ Congress.

Polls will open at 7 A.M. and close at 5 P.M.
