Masicka’s Whites fuels DR Congo’s world Cup qualifier celebration
Masicka’s popular song, Whites was the centre of DR Congo’s celebration last evening after their victory over the Reggae Boyz in yesterday’s World Cup qualifier in Guadalajara, Mexico.
In a video shared by English Congolese footballer Ntumba Massanka via his Instagram stories, a jubilant set of Congolese supporters were seen waving their country flag, while dancing and belting out the lyrics of the popular track in unison.
In his post, Massanka expressed gratitude for the win tagging Masicka, the Jamaica Football Federation and Axel Tuanzebe the Congolese player who scored the winning goal, which ended the Reggae Boyz hope of making it to football’s biggest stage this summer.
Massanka went further, sharing stats comparing Jamaica’s 94- medal tally from Olympics to DR Congo’s lack of medals even after multiple appearances in Olympics over the years.
Released in 2024 Whites to date has racked up over 34 million views on Google’s video sharing platform, YouTube.
