Masicka shows off G.O.A.T. pendant as debate heats up
Masicka recently gave fans a glimpse of his new pendant, a fully iced-out piece molded in the head of a goat with his name boldly inscribed across it.
The term G.O.A.T stands for Greatest of All Time, and while Masicka’s new “statement piece” definitely grabs attention, not everyone is on board with what he may be implying. Social media reactions have been mixed, with some fans questioning the symbolism behind it.
The flashy pendant comes just as Masicka released his new single with producer Dunwell titled La Cabra.
But the bigger question remains, who really holds the title of Greatest of All Time in Dancehall? Recently, there have been heated debates about titles and credit. Vybz Kartel and Beenie Man have gone back and forth over who deserves the crown of King of Dancehall. Mr. Vegas and Little John clashed over the Singjay category. Charly Black and RDX also disagreed about the front runner of the once popular daggering trend.
Fans are already fanning the flames of a new G.O.A.T conversation.
Interestingly, Kartel, a fan favorite for the title, also dropped a track recently called You Know Goat.
With his highly anticipated Canadian debut later this month, the debate could only get louder.
Kartel is set to perform at the Scotiabank Arena on October 26, 27 and 30. All three shows, presented by Drake’s OVO brand, are already sold out. This historic run marks his first-ever performance in Canada and the first time a Jamaican artist headlines the arena for three consecutive nights.
