Marks says 50 water tanks she promised party workers will not be government funded
Jamaica Labour Party, JLP standard bearer for Manchester North Eastern, Audrey Marks says 50 water tanks which she promised to provide for party workers will not be government funded.
She made the statement after the opposition People’s National Party accused her of partisanship.
Speaking at a recent JLP meeting in Manchester Ms. Marks said the water tanks will be distributed starting this week, and stressed that “pastor christen him pickney first”.
In a release today, the PNP’s Candidate Caretaker Valenton Wint said Ms. Marks’ comments are a blatant example of political tribalism and represent a dangerous approach to distributing resources.
In response, Ms. Marks said the tanks will be provided via privately raised resources.
