Marisa Dalrymple-Philibert and Duane Smith sworn in as MPs for Trelawney Southern and St. Andrew North Western
Marisa Dalrymple-Philibert and Duane Smith have been sworn in as the Members of Parliament for Trelawny Southern and St. Andrew North Western, respectively.
The MPs were elected in by-elections held on November 22.
Mr. Smith replaces former MP Dr. Nigel Clarke, who resigned last month to assume a position at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Meanwhile, Dalrymple-Philibert has returned to the seat she previously held, following her resignation last year amid controversy surrounding a report from the Integrity Commission regarding the non-disclosure of certain assets in her statutory declaration.
The MPs took the Oath of Allegiance in parliament this afternoon.
