Manchester Police probing killing of man during armed robbery at his home in Banana Ground this morning
The Manchester Police have launched a probe into the killing of a man during an armed robbery at his home in Banana Ground this morning.
Relatives have identified the deceased as Omar Allen, a vendor.
Reports are that at about 3:20 AM, Allen was at home when he heard strange sounds coming from an adjoining bar operated by his spouse.
He went to investigate and was reportedly shot by gunmen, who were robbing the establishment of poker boxes.
Omar’s brother, Christopher, said the murder has left him traumatized.
Meanwhile, Councillor for the Bellefield Division, Mario Mitchell, expressed concern over recent homicides in the parish.
On Thursday morning, 26-year-old dancer, Brittania Francis, otherwise called ‘Dance Hall Queen Chicken’, was shot and killed at a bar in Richmond.
In the afternoon, 37-year-old Klane Farquharson was killed during a dispute with a fruit vendor in New Green.
