Manchester police launch manhunt for group of gunmen following shootout during attempted break-in at supermarket
The Manchester police have launched a manhunt for a group of gunmen following a shootout during an attempted break-in at a supermarket in Spalding this morning.
Reports are that at about 3:00 AM, armed men travelling in three cars went to the business establishment and attempted to break in.
The police responded and were met with heavy gunfire.
The fire was returned, resulting in the gunmen fleeing the scene.
Subsequently, two of the motor vehicles believed to have been used by the gunmen were found in Spring Ground and Walderston.
One of the vehicles is believed to have been stolen.
The Manchester police are urging the public to be vigilant as the festive season approaches.
