Chairman of the Manchester Municipal Corporation Donovan Mitchell says the majority of plans brought to the Corporation have been completed within ninety days.

His comment follows Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ announcement that Municipal Authorities will be the first to receive attention, as the Government moves to reduce bureaucratic hurdles under the Streamlining Processes for Efficiency and Economic Development (SPEED) programme.

Speaking at the People’s National Party’s Royal Flat Divisional Conference yesterday, Mitchell, who also serves as the PNP aspirant for Manchester Central pointed to the efficiency of the Corporation.

He noted that the Manchester Municipality boasts quick turnaround times.

Mitchell maintained that the Municipal Authority runs at a high standard under his leadership.
