Manchester City to face Juventus as draw revealed for expanded FIFA Club World Cup

Defending champions Manchester City have been drawn in Group D alongside Italian giants Juventus in the group stage of the revamped Fifa Club World Cup that will be staged in the United States.

City, who beat Brazilian side Fluminense to win the tournament for the first time in 2023, are slated to begin their title defense against Morocco’s Wydad and also play Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates in the group phase.

The revamped Fifa Club World Cup, which has been expanded to 32 teams, will be played across 12 venues in the United States between June 15 and July 13, 2025.

Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, drawn in Group A, will take on Egyptian side Al Ahly at the Hard Rock Stadium in the opening match, staged in Miami.

European champions Real Madrid, who lifted the Fifa Club World Cup trophy for a record-extending fifth time in 2022, are in Group H where they will face Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal, who currently have Brazil star Neymar in their ranks.

Elsewhere, Paris St-Germain were drawn against Atletico Madrid in Group B, Bayern Munich meet Benfica in an all-European group-stage match-up in Group B while Chelsea, winners of the 2021 final, are in Group D.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout phase of the 63-game tournament, which concludes with the final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13, where the winners will be presented with the new FIFA Club World Cup trophy.
