Man who stabbed female dancer to death arrested
A man who reportedly stabbed a woman to death at a night club in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth this morning has been taken into custody.
Dead is 34-year-old Nickesha Francis Monfort, otherwise called Chocolate, a dancer of Queen’s Way in Yallahs, St. Thomas.
Reports are that about 3:00 a.m. Francis Monfort was at the night club when an argument developed with a male patron.
The man allegedly used a knife to stab Francis Monfort.
The police were summoned and the wounded woman was taken to hospital, where she later died.
Head of the St. Elizabeth police Superintendent Coleridge Minto said the alleged attacker was apprehended during an operation at a premises in Santa Cruz.
St. Elizabeth has recorded 7 murders so far this year, compared to 18 for the corresponding period last year.
