A man who reportedly lured a teenage girl with promises of a modelling job and then forced her to engage in pornography was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.

Keron Watson was sentenced yesterday by Justice Bertram in the St. James Parish Court.

The judge also ordered Watson to pay $2 million in compensation to the complainant.

It was reported that in January 2017, Watson posed as a talent scout and lured the then 18-year-old girl to his house by promising to get modelling jobs for her.

When the girl went to Watson’s house, he reportedly forced her into sexual acts with different men for a fee, which he collected.

The sexual acts were videotaped and Watson threatened to blackmail the complainant.

A report was made to the police and Watson was arrested and charged in April 2017.

Watson pleaded guilty on October 28 to three counts of trafficking in person.

He was sentenced to 11 years on each count.

The sentences are to run concurrently.
