Three people were shot, 1 fatally near Calvins Plaza in Linstead, St. Catherine this morning.

The identity of the deceased male has not yet been released.

Reports are that at about 4:20am, the persons were standing along a roadway when they were pounced upon by gunmen who opened fire hitting them.

They were taken to hospital where 1 male succumbed.
