A man was shot dead and a woman was wounded in Ocho Rios St. Ann last night. 

Dead is 42 year old Shane Mattadeen, otherwise called “King” of Norbrook Acres Drive in Kingston and Mahogany Beach, Ocho Rios. 

Police say about 10:00 P.M. Mattadeen and the woman were in Ocho Rios, when they were pounced upon by a gunman who opened fire hitting them. 

The police were summoned and the two wounded people were taken to hospital where Mattadeen was pronounced dead and the woman was admitted. 

The police are investigating the incident.
