A man reportedly drowned after the motor vehicle he was driving plunged over the Portmore Causeway Bridge in St. Catherine this morning.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.

Head of the Constabulary’s Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, PSTEB, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dr. Gary McKenzie told Irie FM News that the incident occurred at about 10:30am.

At least 186 people have been killed in road related incidents since the start of the year.
