Majority of farm roads cleared says Green
Minister of Agriculture Floyd Green has indicated that the majority of farm roads impacted by Monday’s earthquake, have been cleared.
He gave this update during Wednesday’s post-cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House.
The minister said six farm roads in East Rural St. Andrew and parts of St. Thomas had been blocked by landslides.
He assured farmers that the farm road rehabilitation programme continues to be a priority for the government.
He said the intention is to get additional funding support for the programme, over the next few years.
