Major infrastructure works to be undertaken at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston by August

Major infrastructure works are to be undertaken at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston by August.

The works are part of the NMIA’s comprehensive five-year transformation programme, which was announced in October last year.

The US$161 million programme will be funded through substantial capital investment by Pac Kingston Airport Limited (PACKAL’s) parent company, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico.

PACKAL’s Chief Executive Officer, Sitara English-Byfield, said the project will enhance safety and operational efficiency.

She also noted that the works will not disrupt normal operations.
