The Met Service explains that the strong winds and coastal flooding from large waves are expected to continue across Jamaica and its territorial waters through to Friday.
In a statement on Tuesday the Met Service says the very strong winds may result in some infrastructural damage.
Duty forecaster at the Met Service Javed Hudson, says a strong cold front that moved across Jamaica early on Tuesday morning, has been producing very strong winds since late on Monday.
Meantime, fishers and other marine interests, especially those on the inshore North Coast and offshore South Coast zones, are advised to exercise extreme caution, as sea conditions are expected to remain poor through to Friday, due to very strong winds.
